Bun-Believable Bites: Juicy Burger Fest Vendors Pt.1

Juicy Burger Fest is all set for May 31 to Jun 2 at XidianJiYi Funstown, and following the announcement of the 2025 Juicy Burger Cup yesterday, we thought it was high time to have a peek at what buger-licious offerings we've got this year. From smoky American-style classics to bold fusion creations, meat-free masterpieces and tons of fest exclusives, the vendors at this year's fest are firing up the grills and bringing their A-game.

Remember, this is only the first half of the vendors at this year's fest, so be sure to keep an eye out for part two coming soon. 

Circle Urban

Brunch and burger specialists Circle Urban, who made it into the Juicy Burger Cup Top 16 for the first time last year, have created the exclusive Ao Bao • Crispy Soul-Blazing Burger for the fest. It features an Angus beef patty paired with caramelized onions, cheddar cheese and a secret sauce, all nestled in an ultra-crispy bun. 

They'll also be serving up their Fusion Buffalo Chicken Burger and their best-selling Angus Beef Burger With Black Pineapple Bun, which sees grilled pineapple, cheddar and jalapeños layered on a smashed Angus beef patty and smothered with their house-made burger sauce, all sandwiched in a black Guangzhou-style pineapple bun.

Wake & Bite

Wangjing-based fine bistro Wake & Bite will be bringing a diverse range of burgers to the fest, including the exclusive Demon Child's Descent. The burger combines a 21-day dry-aged Australian Sher Wagyu beef patty with Chef Gordon Ramsay's fiery British scrambled eggs inside a hybrid German pretzel and Japanese milk bread bun. 

They will also be debuting their new The Forbidden Rhapsody, a Ningxia Tan lamb burger in a black sesame bun; the Sichuan Spice Alchemist, a 96-hour dry-aged chicken thigh burger cradled in ciabatta dough embedded with crushed Sichuan Dahongpao peppercorns; and finally The Pretzel Pioneer, thick-cut smoked bacon and fried eggs inside a house-crafted lye-brushed pretzel bun. To go with the burgers, they'll have a range of fruit craft beer, Scottish whisky highballs and Austrian natural wines.

OVERTONE

Winners of last year's Best New Burger, OVERTONE will be serving up three burgers at Juicy Burger fest, including the Argyle Sichuan Pepper Egg Sauce Beef Burger. A fest exclusive, it pairs a Wagyu beef patty with their signature numbing egg-based green Sichuan peppercorn sauce for a burger that's bold, fragrant and irresistibly spicy. They'll also have their Overtone Classic Beef Burger and St. Vincent Dill Beef Burger plus plenty of their craft brews, such as the Beijing-inspired Central Axis Hazy West Coast IPA.

Side Street

Last year's Juicy Burger Cup Champion Side Street will be debuting two brand new, never-before-seen burgers exclusively for the fest. They're keeping schtum on the details for now, but you can expect something big, juicy and unforgettable. They'll also be bringing a range of their most popular beef burgers, including The K.O., The El Cholo 2.0, the Very Gouda and The Squatter. Plus, they'll also be bringing one of their veggie burgers, Country Roads, which sees a spiced paneer (cottage cheese) patty topped with crisp red onion, tomato, lettuce, house special sauce and creamy garlic mayo. Aside from burgers, they'll have a range of craft ciders, beer and soft drinks available.

Hunger Dog

Hunger Dog will be bringing four burgers to the fest, including the exclusive Bloop Burger, which takes a variety of seafood, pairs it with a wasabi sauce and sandwiches it inside two soft burger buns. They'll also have the Banana Man Burger, the Bull Dog Burger and the Hunger Dog Burger, which sees two beef patties topped with melted cheese, a fried egg and a thick slice of pineapple.

Slowboat

Six-time Juicy Burger Cup Champion Slowboat has created the exclusive Truffle Trouble Double Smash Lace Burger for the fest. It features a double-smashed imported beef patty layered with two slices of melty American cheese, black truffle aioli and crisp house-made pickles, all piled on to a freshly baked brioche bun. Other burgers on offer will be The Classic, The Fryburger, Lao Thai Thai and The Okie Double Smash Burger

To wash everything all down, they'll have a range of their craft brews on hand, including crowd favorites like Monkey's Fist IPA, Moon Jelly DDH IPA, Drink Like A Fish Pilsner, Lao Thai Thai Spicy Pineapple Peanut Butter DDH Hazy IPA, Flying Tea Garden Oolong Wheat, and Refined State Cucumber Sea Salt Gose. They'll also be bringing Classic and Strawberry Frozen Margaritas (non-alcoholic varieties also available).

Having won the spot of second runner up for Best New Burger last year, WhyNot is back this Juicy Burger Fest with more creative new burgers. Exclusively for the fest, they've crafted the Summer Break, a burger inspired by the Wuhan snack 炸藕海 (lotus root fritter), which sees Angus beef patties laid on a bed of crispy lotus root chips then topped with Cheddar cheese and fried river shrimp all in a soft brioche bun. 

They'll also have two of their signature burgers up for grabs. The first is the Hutong Walker, which smothers fried chicken legs in an erba jiang – the traditional Beijing hot pot peanut and sesame paste dipping sauce. The other is the Meatlover, which features two smashed Angus beef patties, caramelized onions and no burger veggies like lettuce so that the meat can shine! Drinkswise, they'll also have Mahou Cinco Estrellas Lager and Zeffer Red Apple Cider to sip on.

Wild Kite Brewing

Coming fourth in last year's Juicy Burger Cup, Wild Kite will be offering three burgers at the fest, including the exclusive Grilled Chili Kimchi Burger. It features a thick handmade beef patty paired with tangy, spicy kimchi, melty cheese and a special sauce. The other two burgers are the Classic Wagyu Burger, an Australian Wagyu beef patty topped with onion, lime cucumber sauce and cheese; and the Beef and Egg Burger with Pepper Sauce, which combines a handmade beef patty with Chinese-style poached eggs and a spicy Sichuan peppercorn sauce. They'll be serving a variety of their signature craft brews as well.

Taiba Shawarma brings authentic dishes from Arab chefs, full of Middle Eastern passion. Enjoy gifts from the desert and the sea, with specialty spices paired perfectly in burgers—so delicious you won’t forget the taste, all without leaving Beijing. At the fest they will have the exclusive Chef Burger, which takes beef that's been marinated for several hours and then pairs it with traditional Arabic sauces and vegetables. Another is the Falafel Burger, a veggie burger made from deep-fried falafel layered with burger sauce and veggies. Both burgers are made with natural spices, fresh-baked bread, and golden olive oil, for a healthy Arabic flavor that delights your taste buds while keeping your figure in check. The chef has also prepared other specialty burgers and Middle Eastern snacks you can enjoy!

Q MEX Bar & Grill

Proud 2023 and 2017 Juicy Burger Cup Champ Q MEX has crafted The Firestorm Burger exclusively for the fest. It takes one of their Australian Angus beef patties and then piles it with juicy fried pork belly, cheese, onions, pickles and their homemade chipotle BBQ sauce. It's the embodiment of Feng Shen's flame-forged philosophy: “Where myth meets meat, and every bite ignites a story.” Along with the exclusive burger, they'll have the Q MEX Double Burger, which features two Australian Angus beef patties, double cheese, mayonnaise and special burger sauce. They'll also have Margarita Bulldogs for a refreshing accompaniment.

DOSH GASTROPUB

Last year's Juicy Burger Cup second-place winner, DOSH, will be showcasing two of their signature burgers at the fest. The first is the Maryland Crab Cake Burger, which DOSH debuted at last year's fest. It features a traditional Maryland crab cake paired with a carefully crafted mascarpone tartar sauce all inside a soft burger bun. They'll also have their Parma Ham Burger, which sees smoky, salty Parma ham layered atop a wet-aged beef patty with melted cheese and a special handcrafted sauce inside a fluffy brioche bun.

At the festival, Jing-A will be showcasing their brand new Yunnan-Guizhou Sour Soup Flavor Wagyu Burger. Inspired by the flavors of Yunnan and Guizhou, it sees a 200g thick-cut Australian Angus Wagyu beef patty paired with a homemade sour soup mayonnaise then topped with beer battered fish mint root, fresh mint and buffalo mozzarella. They'll also be serving some of their classic burgers, including the Stout Bacon Cheese Burger, Tuhao Gold Foie Gras Hamburger and New York Style Double Cheeseburger, as well as plenty of their signature brews. 


Huddler Burger

Making their Juicy Burger Fest debut, Huddler Burger has created two exclusive burgers for the fest. The first is the Hot Wheels Spicy Beef Burger, which features a smash patty layered with a “spicy ring,” with a soft-boiled egg in the center and paired with a spicy sauce made from mayonnaise, balsamic vinegar, Leshan chili powder, black and white pepper, paprika and garlic powder. The other exclusive burger is the Jiang Ziya Fresh Fried Chicken Burger, which sees a chicken breast marinated in Jamaican seasoning placed on a bed of shredded tender ginger, purple cabbage and fresh lettuce with a Jamaican-style sauce. 

Along with the exclusive burgers, there will be the signature Huddle Burger, which is comprised of two smash patties with white onion and jalapenos mixed in, layered with cream cheese and a sauce made from crispy bacon pieces, prunes, onions, tonic water, ginger ale, cola and Italian balsamic vinegar. Although it might seem complex, it actually has a surprisingly simple and balanced sweet flavor. To sip on, they'll have a range of TipsyFrog ciders and beers and Xiaolihua Pineapple Milk

Joining us all the way from Shanghai, CharCharBistro opened up back in 2014 as the first Western restaurant with an imported butcher shop. For the fest they've created the exclusive Whiskey Peanut Butter Jam Foie Gras Burger, which combines decadent foie gras with the rugged charm of an American-style burger then elevates the whole experience with the addition of peanut butter, Asian-inspired sauces and a hint of smoky whiskey. At the fest they'll also be serving their beloved Black Truffle Cheese Burger and Classic Cheese Burger, which both feature plump, juicy patties with mellow cheese in soft bread.

Home Plate BBQ

Multi-time Juicy Burger Cup winner Home Plate BBQ will have a few different burgers on offer at the fest, including the exclusive Smoked Double Cheeseburger, which features a cold-smoked 100 percent brisket patty topped with burger sauce and two slices of American cheese and smoked salt inside a smoked tallow-toasted bun. They'll also have The Trucker, which takes an M5 beef patty and loads it with Texas chilli, cheddar, jalapeños, onions and sriracha mayo; and the Double Trouble, which pairs smoked M5 brisket with pulled smoked pork and finishes it with Carolina vinegar slaw, pickles, Carolina Gold Sauce and Texas Heat Sauce. 

To pair with the burgers, they'll have their Mint Berry Crush, a mix of strawberries, raspberries, mint and lime, with vodka added in for the alcoholic version. They'll also have their Pickle Lime Slushie. Inspired by Texas summers and Sonic drive-thrus, this creation is made with fresh lime juice and Home Plate's home-made pickle brine, with bourbon added in for the alcoholic version.

Rabiul's Kitchen

Recently opened Rabiul's Kitchen, Dastaan's newest venture, will be injecting some Indian spice to the fest with their selection of burgers. They've got three exclusive offerings: the Achari Sabzi Paneer Burger, a veggie burger that combines mixed vegetable with Indian cottage patty and pickle in a spiced burger bun; the Purani Delhi Wali Murgh Makhni Burger, Old Delhi-style butter chicken gravy and a deep-fried chicken fillet in a burger bun; and the Bold & Spicy Beef Chapli Burger, which features a Masala Wagyu beef patty, cheddar cheese, sliced onion and gherkins. 

They'll also have their popular Vada Pav (Mumbai Style Potato Burger), a vegetarian popular Indian street food consisting of spicy, deep-fried potato fritters (vada) served inside a soft bun (pav) and accompanied by green and red chutneys. For the perfect accompaniment, they'll be serving Corona Sunrise, Indian Kingfisher Beer and a Tamarind Margarita, a tangy twist on the classic margarita made with tequila, tamarind pulp, lime juice and a hint of chili salt.

At the fest, Slider Nation will have their famous OG Sliders made from 50g of Wagyu beef smashed with thinly sliced onions then topped with American cheese, crisp pickles and their signature “crack sauce,” all sandwiched between their specially steamed Hawaiian style buns. They'll also have BBQ Pulled Pork Sliders, Slider Nation Frozen Margaritas and the non-alcoholic Blue Crush.


Ye Brewing

Ye Brewing has created the exclusive Golden Burger for the festival. This burger features marinated, pan-seared pineapple slices infused with gin and Ye Brewing Preserved Plum Peach Cider atop a beef patty that is then crowned with thin-cut fries for some added crunch. 

They'll also have the Mead Burger, a pulled pork burger slathered in a sauce made from Ye Brewing Sweet Land Berry Mead; the Stout Burger, a Wagyu beef patty covered in their signature sauce made Ye Brewing Chocolate Stout; and finally, the Classic Wagyu Burger. Along with burgers, they'll have Ye Brewing Ice Lemon Tea. Specially created for the fest and inspired by retro Hong Kong-style iced lemon tea, it's tangy, sweet and perfect for cooling off in the summer heat.

Burge's Bistro & Bar

Burge's has gone for a SpongeBob SquarePants theme for their burgers this year, crafting two exclusive burgers. The first is the aptly named Krabby Patty, which sees a smash patty piled with crab meat, salted egg yolk and special sauce. The other is the Sponge Bob, which features spongy 烤麸 (wheat gluten) on a smash patty and shredded cabbage with spicy sauce. They'll also have their Burge's Beef Burger, a smash patty paired with buffalo mozzarella, secret onions, and special burger sauce. For sipping, they'll have a variety of drinks like Vodka Mojitos, Spumoni Cocktails and Burge's Wheat Beer

Beersmith

CBD brewpub Beersmith has gone all out for the fest, creating a trio of exclusive burgers. The first is the Mythical BBQ, which combines a beef patty with BBQ bacon, fried onions, cheddar cheese and bold BBQ sauce, delivering smoky indulgence in every bite. The second is the Tangy & Nutty, which sees a beef patty topped with a slice of grilled pineapple then smothered in a peanut butter and sriracha sauce. The third is the Three Flames – Sichuan. This burger packs a punch with Sichuan-style sausage, pickled daikon and a cooling yogurt layered on a beef patty for one spicy combination. 

Beersmith will also be debuting their soon-to-be-on-the-menu Immortal Blue Cheese Burger at the fest. It piles blue cheese, honey mayo and pickled onions on a beef patty for one honking burger that cheese fans will love.  And of course, the all-time favorites are back — Beersmith's signature Cheeseburgers, made with juicy Angus beef patties. A classic combo guests simply can't resist.  Aside from burgers, they'll have a range of their craft bews available, such as Mango Dragon Gose, Neon Seltzer and Beer Camp – Hoppy Pils

BurningWood BBQ

Another spot making their Juicy Burger Fest debut is BurningWood BBQ, a Texas-style barbecue joint. They've crafted the exclusive Meat Beast Burger for the fest, which takes a beef patty and then tops it with slow-roasted beef brisket and a three-day cured Texas-style handmade sausage for a smoky, meaty burger that's sure to satisfy any carnivore's cravings. They'll also have the BurningWood Bacon Cheeseburger Burger, Smoked Pulled Pork Burger and Smoked Patty Burger. Aside from burgers, they'll have limited edition beer slushies: Dragon Fruit Pineapple, Guava Honey Peach and Vanilla Blueberry, with a different flavor on offer each day of the fest.

JING SLOW Handcrafted Burger

New burger spot JING SLOW will be serving up three burgers at the fest. The first is the Yongdingmen Mutton Skewer Burger. Iinfluenced by JING SLOW's founder's childhood memories of eating lamb chuanr in Beijing's Yongdingmen area, they researched traditional lamb chuanr recipes and then put it into burger form. The other two are the Cai-Kovsky Burger, which takes classic Chinese hand-shredded chicken and sandwiches it inside a burger bun, and the Angus Wagyu Burger. They'll also have Arctic Ocean at the fest for those who are fans of the Beijing -born orange soda. 


TRIPS Burger

Joining Juicy Burger Fest for the first time, TRIPS Burger has created the exclusive Brahma Four-Faced God. Inspired by the Thai god of creation, Phra Phrom (Brahma), it sees charred smashed patties layered with freshly sliced pineapple and smothered with specially blended authentic Thai barbecue sauce all inside a butter brioche bun. 

Along with the exclusive burger, they'll have the Beijing Slash Burger, which takes the flavors of Beijing's 炸酱面 (fried sauce noodles), like soy sauce and sesame oil, and combines them with a burger. It's a must-eat for garlic and onion lovers. The other burger is the Wuhan Hot & Dry Burger. Normally only available at their Wuhan branch, it draws inspiration from Wuhan's iconic street food, 热干面 (hot dry noodles). They'll also have three special cocktails at the fest: a Sour Plum Highball, a Perilla Highball and the Qiqi

The Venue

This year's Juicy Burger Fest will be returning once again to XidianJiYi Funstown, and here's a bit more information about this great cultural hub.
